Print PDF

Adversus haereses ('Against Heresies') is the abbreviated Latin title for the major work of second-century theologian and bishop, St Irenaeus of Lyons, which is actually entitled On the refutation and overthrow of knowledge falsely so-called. It is a foundational work in patristic cosmology and soteriology, and a classic heresiological and anti-heretical tract.
