Beta Testing: Details on Forum Page Heights

There have been some reports of problems with the height / length of pages in the Discussion Community under the new beta styling: namely, that threads in the new styling have excess vertical spacing that causes the pages to become inordinately long.

In attempting to determine why some are reporting this, please see below a screen-shot image that places a sample view of a thread's contents under the new style (on the left) side-by side with the same content in the old styling (on the right), taken in browser windows of identical proportions.

This image shows how threads should be appearing in the new styling, and as they appear on our development testing browsers (FireFox 3 and Safari 4). Please note that, in the new styling, the overall height of elements in identically-sized windows should in fact be smaller than in the old styling.

Please could you report it if you are not seeing something similar to the above in your testing of the new beta styling in the forum.
