Hi All,

Is anyone aware of a prayer to find or spouse or the Saint(s) to ask for intercession?

In Christ

Dora

The saints troditonaly asked for help in this are St Xenia of St Petersburg and St Nicholas, along with of course  the Theotokos and your patonal saint.

I started on a simmalar vain to you in my prayers a couple of years ago and found that they do not necessarily answer as we would like them to, but as we most need for our salvation.

Thanks Phoebe. I can include you in my prayers if you are still seeking a spouse.

Dora,

I am not seeking a spouse directly I have stepped back to consider which of the two paths open to me in the Christian life is the right one for me, as it is still not clear.  though prayers are always appreciated, I will remember you in my prayers as well, for we need each others support in the challenges of living faithfully.

Phoebe

Dora,

Maybe St. Anna, the mother of the Holy Ever Virgin Mary?

In Christ,

Anthony

Dora,

I've also felt that St. Katherine helps one find a spouse.

In Christ,

Anthony

Saint Nicholas, Saint Xenia of Petersburg, and I would say Saint Xenophon too.

Ask the Theotokos directly to intercede.

I know a woman who did exactly that.  She was a convert and had already had a daughter out of wedlock, and she uncertain about how to even relate to the Theotokos.

After trying to find a husband (and making very poor choices in the process), she cried out in desperation for the help of God's mother either to reveal whether she could have a faithful Orthodox husband or should remain single and eventually become a monastic.

She met her future husband 3 days later.  They are perfect matches for each other.
