Origen believed in the pre-existence of souls (prior to conception), and that people's souls did things before their embodiment. For example, he taught that Jacob was loved and Esau hated because of what they did prior to their conception. But when did he believe Jesus' soul was created?

For Origen all angels, deamons, souls, minds, all non-coorporeal elements were initially created in union, all at the same time, later they were separated in multiple instances as their love for God lost the initial heat and they lost the union among them. But only one mind/soul remained clean and in its initial state - of being in full love with God - and this was the soul that was taken by Christ. So Christ's soul is a sinless soul created at the same time with all other souls - according to Origen. Later, some followers of Origen, - called protoktistites - believed that the soul of Christ was the first created soul, first of all spirituall creations.

All these of course were not accepted by the Church. They were false beliefs.
