I wanted to mention that in a book I recently read, it mentions as part of the rubrics for the Unnailing Vespers of Great & Holy Friday that the mounted Christ figure, when taken down from the Holy Cross, is to be wrapped in white linen, something I was aware of, but I was delighted to see that the linen should be new each year, rather than reused.  I think this is a beautiful detail in mimicry of Joseph's placing Christ's Body in a new tomb.
