Hi

I would like to ask if anyone knows were to buy  a orthodox incense holder that if it falls, the charcoal wont come out (and burn our carpet :)  )

The one we have at the moment is just an open clay one.  We also had a silver one, steel, that the top closes, but it doesn't seem to burn the charcoal properly.

Would really like anyone knows one that sort of locks it in, and were to purchase it.

Thank you

Angie

I don't know where in Australia you are but there must be some church or monastery that sells incense burners. Otherwise, search in amazon.com (not au) for 'Greek Orthodox incense burner' and some will appear. The metal ones with a lid only burn well if you keep the lid open I have found. Then again, assuming the lid has enough openings to allow air in and smoke out, good charcoal ought still to burn even with the lid down. Swift Lite charcoal tablets work best and are available in Australia.
