From my feeble internet searching I don't seem to be able to find a definitive answer on this (perhaps there isn't one?). What are the requirements for an infant baptism? In particular my wife is not a church goer, and our marriage is only civil. Are these impediments?

Have you asked your priest? And did you become Orthodox after your civil marriage?

No, I've recently moved. I was Orthodox before I married.

Keith, you say you were Orthodox and then entered into a civil marriage only. Does your priest know this?

You will have to discuss this with your priest. When it came time for my cousin to baptise her child who was only married in a civil arrangement, she was required to have a church marriage prior. Sometimes exceptions are made.

Just to be clear, Keith, are you asking about the baptism of your child or about baptising someone else's child?
