I was told to look for some books on the lives of the saints. Having found a lot of websites with 1 or 2 paragraph biographies, I'd like to find something with a little more information--if such a thing exists. Can you recommend some titles/websites?

The nuns of Holy Apostles Monastery, Buena Vista, CO, hae put out a number of books on lives of various Saints, with rather full source citations.

The last my wife and I visited The Protection of the Holy Virgin Monastery, Mother Cassiana was compiling books with all the saints of the month. This was about 8 years ago, but they had 5 or 6 volumes completed at that time. I am sure they have a complete set by now.

The recommendations above are very good. Also look here on monachos there is a collection of lives of Saints. Also when you google it maybe also use the word Sinaxarya.
