The Russian translation of Cyril's statement does not say but or since, and thus does not have these problems. It says:

«Поэтому уразумев, почему один только есть Сын и Господь Иисус Христос, утверждаем, что два естества соединились; и верим, что после этого соединения, как бы уничтоживши разделяемость надвое, пребывает единое естество Сына, как единого, но вочеловечившегося и воплотившегося.

 

It says we affirm "the natures united, and believe that after the union, as if destroying the separation, the one nature of the Son exists, as one but incarnate."

 

In the Russian translation, there is no contrasting the one nature's status before and after, nor does "since" cause there to be one nature.
So thus I would like to find the Greek translation.
