I'm very sorry to post this question - probably there is already an explanation somewhere in monachos.net - but an acquaintance of mine recently asked how we could feel happy if we occur in heaven and there aren't any of our acquaintances or relatives there. How should I answer? Somewhere I found an attempt to explain it by stating that we would be in such a state of bliss that we will forget about everyone else, but that doesn't sound very convincing, does it? I'd be grateful for any answers or links, in English or in Russian (unfortunately I don't know Greek).

Yes this topic has been discussed in depth. I recommend starting here: Happiness in heaven, in knowledge of those suffering in hell?
