Dear Brothers and sisters! I just wanted to let you know that there is a new English webpage on Orthodox Hesychasm and Jesus prayer.
http://www.hesychasm.ru/en/

The Russian website on Hesychasm started a few years ago ( http://www.hesychasm.ru/ ). There is a library of books, articles and links on Hesychasm, both in English and Russian. There is also a forum in Russian and English for discussions on practical aspects of spiritual life and prayer. If you know any other good books, articles or links on Hesychasm please let us know.

I just discovered this little community on the Monachos.net and found the topics and dicussions very interesting, and it's not my intention to distract people from this forum. Our forum on Hesychasm, though, has very similar topics and interests. I will let people on our forum who can speak English know about Monachos. It would be good if we could break the language borders and exchange knowledge and experience between the members of our communities.

Christ is in our midst!

Dear Evgeny,
Thank you for mentioning the web-site on Hesychasm. I checked it out. the references to "books" and many of them at that, I printed out for further reference. But, to my dismay the Forum was in Russian. I can't read the language. Would you know if this Forum can be accessed in English?

thank you in Christ Jesus our Lord,

Dear Marie,

On the forum page http://www.hesychasm.ru/forum/ there is English section closer to the bottom, and in this section there are instructions on how to participate in the English forum and to see all menues in English (here: http://www.hesychasm.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?t=77 ). You may want to try it and let me know if there any problems. We started the English forum just recently and it's still empty, although the Russian forum has been very active for several moths. There are members in Russian forum that can speak English and will participate in English discussions.

In Christ!
Evgeny

Fr. Raphael, Fr. George, Evegny.

Many thanks for your responses concerning the web-site on Hesychasm that was posted earlier by Evegny.

I will look into it when I have a few moments.

Some advice on online translation services - using something like Alta Vista on Russian religious websites can lead to hilarious results, particularly if Slavonic words and phrases are also used in the text which the program is trying to translate. English grammar and syntax is very different from Russian and Greek.
