Can anyone direct me to an online source for an Orthodox-made baptismal robe/sticharion for an adult?

Thank you.
Waldemar

Waldemar,

I am a little unclear what you desire, for a sticharion is a clerical robe, worn by deacons and altar servers in the Russian Church, and in the Greek Church, the sticharion is the long robe worn under the phelonion of the priest.

Baptismal robes are the white robes, usually with a cross on the back used for the newly baprtized, which then can be worn when bathing the River Jordan while a Pilgrim in the Holy Land, and again, when an Orthodox Christian dies, he can be buried in it.

Less than a mile from my home, Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, Our convent- the Community Of St. Elizabeth in Mohawsk, NY makes very beautiful Baptismal robes, as well as clerical sticharions, both at reasonable prices. I do not know oif they have an on-line store, but if you are interested, I will be happy to deal with them for you, or at least put you both in touch.

they do beautiful work at reasonable prices. They also make incense, sew cassocks, make vestments, beauriful prayer ropes, and have two very fine icon painters (No "Writers" here, they are nuns from Russia) They can make the sticharion s for priests with beaurifulmachine and hand embeoidery, and can make use of any design sent to them.

If you are interested, let me know.

Faithfully,

Fr. A.
