Hello all - this is the title of a book that I have the opportunity to purchase on line, and I wonder if anyone has read it and can comment on its suitability and orthodoxy? I do not know who the author is. I have looked on Amazon but it is not listed. Many thanks

Anything written by Metropolitan Ierotheos Vlachos (previously known as Archimandrite Ierotheos Vlachos) will deepen one's understanding of Orthodoxy. I think "Illness & Cure..." was the first book of his translated from Greek into English. It's basis is extremely Patristic but it's focus is very much concerned with the problems we face in our times. It definitely has had a profound & lasting effect on how we see the Church. Well worth reading I would say.

Dear Barbara,

Metropolitan Hierotheos Vlachos wrote a number of books, some of them are available on the internet. If you are interested, please look at this website http://www.hesychasm.ru/en/library.htm
and follow the link:
