Could anyone point me toward the Orthodox view of Dispensation? And if there isn't one (like Atonement) Does anyone have information on the history of the protestant view?

Thankx

While the Orthodox recognize that God dealt with different peoples in different ways at different times, Orthodox typically do not make such sharp distinctions between one "dispensation" and another. All of human history is seen as the one divine dispensation, in which God worked to bring man to the knowledge and practice of the truth. Especially distant from Orthodoxy are some of the new Protestant Dispensationalists (e.g., Acts 9 Dispensationalists), who tend to put the epistles of Paul on a higher footing than the rest of Scripture, since it is supposedly Paul's works and not the rest of the Bible that is primarily for our use today. I don't think most dispensationalists go that far, though. It's been a while since I've looked into this subject, so rather than try to remember and end up giving you half-correct info, I better just say nothing at all. http://www.monachos.net/mb/clipart/happy.gif I'm sure a search on Google would bring up a lot of info, considering that most of the dispensationalists that I have come into contact with are very much into promoting their beliefs via the internet.
