Hello
I am trying to find an approach to learning the language of the Peshitta, Diatessaron, and the Syriac Fathers--in particular, Ss. Ephrem, Afraates, and Isaac. The writings of Evagrius also interest me.
I would also like to acquire as many of these texts as possible in their original language.
Could anyone recommend a good starting place? A book which teaches the language using readings and examples from those I mentioned would be ideal.
Thanks
Patrick
