This is another icon that was given to me. It is the one Saint Seraphim of Sarov reposed in front of. Does anyone know of any hymns or services or stories of The Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Joys"?

The Seraphimo-Diveevsk "Tenderness" (Umilenie) Icon of the Mother of God
Commemorated on July 19, July 28
The Seraphimo-Diveevsk "Tenderness" (Umilenie) Icon of the Mother of God belonged to the Monk Seraphim of Sarov, and was his cell icon. With the oil from the lampada, which burned before this holy icon, the Monk anointed the sick, who received healing after the anointing. The ascetic called the icon "Umilenie" (Tenderness) – "Joy of all joys", and in front of it he died at prayer on 2 January 1833. After the death of the Monk Seraphim of Sarov the monastery head Father Niphont gave the holy icon "Joy of all joys" to the sisters of the Diveevsk Seraphimovsk monastery.

As was noted in this section last year, the Umilenie icon of the Mother of God which St Seraphim had is unusual because it shows the Mother of God without her Son. This is because the icon depicts the Mother of God at the time of the Annunciation; her crossed hands represent her submissive response to the angel, 'be it unto me according to thy word', and also reflects the first verses of the Akathist Hymn to the Mother of God which refer to the Annunciation because the Slavonic inscription reads, 'Rejoice Bride Unwedded' which is, of course, the repeated verse in the Akathist hymn.
