Miracle-working icon of Virgin Galakotrophousa

I was given a copy of this icon [of THE MIRACLE-WORKING ICON,THE VIRGIN GALAKTOTROPHOUSA] that was blessed at the Hilander Monastery on Mount Athos. I read the story about it on the Chilander Monastery website. I am in awe that I was given this icon. Has anyone heard of it? I am searching for a service for it. I downloaded a jpeg of it if anyone wants to see.

The Milkgiver Icon of the Theotokos is one of the most venerated in serbia!

The original is on the Holy Mountain in Karyes in the Typikaria !!
It is on the right side of the iconostase, this is very special because usually only icons of christ are shown there!!

In russia are many wonderworking copies of it!!
I only know that there is an akathistos to the Mostholy Milkgiver!! I saw also very much such icons from egypt!!

it was one of the icons given to St Sava of Serbia from St Sava the sanctified wasn't it? along with St Sava the Sanctified's staff.

Yes this icon was given from St.Sabbas the sactified to St.Sava of serbia ,he placed it in the Chapel on the right side of the iconostas of the Typikaria also called isponitza where he often stayed he also wrote a special rule for the monks living there!!They have to pray the whole psalter every day for the peace of the world!

The Milgiver Icon and the Tricheroussa Icon are my favorites!!
