Dear brothers and Sisters in Christ

I ask your prayers for the repose of the handmaid of the Lord Laura Blomely, she was part of the Student union at Queen Mary university and if your interested the URL is http://qmsu.org/people/sabbs/memories-of-laura/#592

she is was not orthodox as far as i was aware, also pray for my muslim friends grandfather who also passed away His name is Ali and is not in the UK, his granddaughter is over here is called Shima who is also muslim and is having to study while most of her family is over there and she spent a lot of her childhood with him, so she is greiving also.
an orthodox lady called Katerina who passed away about a month ago.

my grandmother Maria her memorial is coming up this sunday and is orthodox
also Charalambos who has passed away a man called Andreas- he is 85 and not in brilliant shape, not sure if he prays but i heard he is embarrassed of confession, Pray that God's will be done in his life, that he may love Christ.

Andreas who passed away a while ago an uncle of my friend Isiah but he i don't think is orthodox Theodoulos who is undergoing cheamotherapy in the uk he is orhthodox
As far as i know the orthodox are from the juristiction under the patriarch of constantinople, i think Greek orthodox.

sorry if it offends people saying this person is orthodox that and this, its just that if they are not then you do not put them down in the eucharist if anyone has been offended please forgive me.

with love in Christ
God and Panagia(His all Holy mother) be with you all

May our Lord have mercy on the above mentioned people.

As an aside, I was disturbed while in Romania, to see Muslim names scratched off prayer lists (pomelnics) as if they are not souls in need also.

While I stayed at the monastery of St. George the Great Martyr on the Prinkipos Islands off Istanbul, we all prayed for who ever asked our prayers (Orthodox, Muslim, Armenian...) It is a great blessing.

I do not personally believe monks should make these distinctions, this is the decision of God, and as I am not a priest, I will glady pray for anyone, God-willing.

> RE " ...we all prayed for who ever asked our prayers (Orthodox, Muslim, Armenian...) It is a great blessing...." I agree it is good to pray for everyone and anyone. I think that is it good to do so. That is, it is good so long we and they understand that our praying for them does not necessarily condone or endorse what they may believe; such as those who follow the belief and philosophy of the Nazis or any other hate group. Since, unworthy as I am, Harry, as I know him, in the above post, has placed my name, along side those much more deserving than me, permit me this reflection.

Let us ponder how in every second, minute, hour, each of us struggles to take up his/her Cross and advances forward, aided by the prayers of the faithful.

Is it no small thing, my dear Community Members, that each of us is joined ontologically? If Christ said not a hair is unnumbered - how much more are we each moment dependent on the prayers of others?

Let us rejoice, that despite our inadequacy, we are mentioned, even by those unkownst to us!

Dear Community Members,

Normally, this is a request for prayer for others. May I take this exception and ask for your prayers regarding myself.

For over two weeks now I have been travelling through 'The Twilight Zone'. Why, I can not say. But of this I am certain, the general state is reflecting that of my soul - a state of ever increasing decline.

Also, I want to take this opportunity, since I do not have the strength to send out many e-mails to ask the forgiveness of: Byron, Sandra (icon painter), Acacio in Brazil, and others whose names do not come quickly to mind, but I am certain they know who they are.

With God's grace hopefully I will be able to attend to these matters. I do feel that I have let those down who have asked my help in various concerns. Finally, my illness had the last card.

Forgive.

faithfully,
fr. seraphim

Father Seraphim, bless ...

I'm sure I speak not only for myself when I say that your wise and loving counsel has been a blessing to us here on Monachos.

Joy of all who sorrow art thou,
and protectress of the oppressed,
feeder of the hungry, consolation of travellers,
haven for the tempest-tossed, visitation of the sick,
comfort and aid of the infirm. staff of old age,
O most pure Mother of the Most High God,
hasten, we pray to save thy servant, Seraphim!

Dear Fr Seraphim,

I was truly perplexed by your post #113. Not only have I nothing to forgive you for, but you have been, and continue to be, a source of strength and hope for this forum and myself personally. May God preserve you by the prayers of the Theotokos and all the saints!

In Christ
