Marry my godfather

My godfather, John, is a very kind, pious Orthodox man. He has studied at Jordanville and hopes to be a priest, but wants to get married first. The only photo I have of him can be viewed at www.orthphoto.net/gallery.php (http://www.orthphoto.net/gallery.php) . I'm the groom in the photo and he is next to me. It's kind of dark, but most consider him handsome. He lives in the Virginia Beach area, but would travel quite far to meet the right girl.

He wants to marry a pious Orthodox woman between 25-35, but would probably consider someone as young as 20 if she were pious. Is that you? Do you know anyone. I think this is probably a silly post, but my heart goes out to him. He has been offering up prayer for some time about this both to our Most Holy Lady Theotokos and St. John the Wonderworker of Shanghai and San Francisco.

Dear Basil,

It is good to get the word out, sometimes people assume a very pious person is only interested in becoming a monastic, and never consider that the person may want to marry - (particularly quiet people).

We were discussing this subject at Church on Sunday. We mothers decided we must pray that, if it is God's will for our children to marry, when they grow up, that they will find good pious Orthodox husbands or wives.
