Hello,
Where can I find a directory of Orthodox churches in these two countries? I suspect that they are not very numerous there, especially in Spain.
Best regards,
Mariusz
Dear Mariusz,
You could do a Google Search on the web. I did one for France and got this link.
[Link] (http://www.orthodoxesaparis.org/eglises/eglises_paroisses.htm)
Hope this helps,
Marc

Dear Marc,
Thank you kindly for your help. I had done several Google searches but they were all in English - I was looking for an "international" site. However, sites in French and/or Spanish are just as good.
Best regards,
Mariusz
[Dear Mariusz,
Got your message and thanks. In the Google search engine I put the following: "Orthodox parishes France" without the quotation marks.
For Spain, I would just replace France with Spain. I spent time in France last year and needed an address for France and that's how I found one for the place I visited so I was able to attend the Divine Liturgy.
Wishing you success, Marc]

I revived this thread as I'm looking specifically for Orthodox churches in the Galicia (NW) region of Spain, as I'll be spending a few weeks in A Coruna.
The OrthodoxWiki site has a list of parishes of various jurisdications around Spain but unfortunately none are in Galicia as far as I could tell.
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
Paul.

Wow. Talk about sparse.
The closest Orthodox parish to A Coruna I could find in Spain is in Santander, 677 km away (about 6 hours by car). There is one parish closer that I found, but it's actually in Porto, Portugal, about 300 km away (about 3 hours driving time according to Google maps (http://www.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=a+coruna,+spain&daddr=379+rua+da+Constitui%C3%A7%C3%A3o,+porto,+po rtugal&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=44.60973,81.738281&ie=UTF8&z=8&om=1) - the link is to the driving directions, if you're interested). There may be something closer than that, but if so, I couldn't find it in the time I spent looking.
In Christ,
Mike

Thanks for having a look at this for me, Mike.
Yes it does seem like a fair hike from A Coruna to the nearest Orthodox church...
I thought perhaps someone on the forum might know firsthand.

Hello Tere are several orthodox churches in Spain, most are under the patriarchate of Moscu, or Patriarchate of Serbia,or Patriachiate of Romania.

I have already searched to google but I didn't had much luck, though I found some parishes,I cannot I understand where they are located. If anyone can help,I would very much appreciate it. If I'm bumbling through the Spanish well enough, there appears to be a parish right in Pamplona. I found it on the website of the Arzobispado Ortodoxo de España y Portugal (http://www.iglesiaortodoxa.net/index_archivos/Page510.htm), near the bottom of the page. The parish looks to be in Barañain, just west of Pamplona. It looks like the Archbishopric of Spain and Portugal is part of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. The listing includes a phone number but no email, and I couldn't find the listed address (Plaza los Cargos 2 - 1ª, 31010 Barañain) on Google Maps.
The next closest appears to be a parish of the Serbian Patriarchate in Irun, Spain. Here's the listing on Iglesia Ortodoxa (http://www.iglesiaortodoxa.es/es/parroquia/parroquia-san-marcos/8.html), and the Google Maps (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&newwindow=1&q=calle+de+san+ramon+irun+spain&um=1&ie=UTF-8&split=0&gl=us) location. Google puts it at about 104km and 1 hr 17 min from Pamplona. The listing includes a phone number and an email address.
Every other parish I found appeared to be much farther away.
In Christ,
Michael

I thought perhaps links to the online directories I've found might be useful to others planning visits to France and/or Spain.
Spain
Parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate (http://e.korsoun.free.fr/es/es/parroquias.htm)
Parishes of the Ecumenical Patriarchate (http://www.iglesiaortodoxa.net/index_archivos/Page510.htm)
Parishes of the Serbian Patriarchate (http://www.iglesiaortodoxa.es/es/parroquias.html)
France
Fairly comprehensive listing (http://orthodoxie.free.fr/lieux_de_culte.htm) - includes parishes of the Ecumenical Patriarchate (Russian Exarchate and Greek Metropolis), Moscow Patriarchate, Antiochian Patriarchate, Serbian Patriarchate, Romanian Patriarchate, and Bulgarian Patriarchate.
Parishes of the Coptic Orthodox Church (http://coptica.free.fr/liste_des_paroisses_francaises_148.htm)
Apologies if I butchered any jurisdictional designations - I just Anglicized directly from the Spanish and French.
In Christ,
Michael

According to OrthodoxWiki, the Metropolitanate of Western and Southern Europe is a Diocese of the Church of Romania. They have a great map of their parishes/churches in Spain, France etc:

Does anyone have any information on the following?
DIÓCESIS HISPÁNICA ORTODOXA ISIDORIANA IGLESIA ORIENTAL HISPANA (Bajo la Jurisdicción del Sínodo de Milán)
I was looking for Orthodox churches in Andalucia, close to Cadiz, and found a parish of theirs. See
http://orientalhispana.webs.com/nuestroclero.htm
However I do not know if they are in communion with the Church of Greece. Who are the Synod of Milan? Old Calendarist?
There is no mention of them on OrthodoxWiki or links from the other sites that Mike posted above. The closest parishes of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and others are in Sevilla and Malaga, several hours drive away from Cadiz (according to google maps, anyway.)
Any info is much appreciated. :)
They are an Old Calendarist group: http://orthodoxwiki.org/Holy_Synod_of_Milan

Thanks Ryan (somehow I missed it on OrthodoxWiki :o.) The OrthodoxWiki page on the Milan Synod states that
As with all of the Old Calendarist jurisdictions, the Milan Synod is not currently in communion with the mainstream Orthodox churches.
Unfortunately that means the closest parish of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to Cadiz is in Sevilla, 1-2 hours drive away. Not quite sure how to deal with that if I end up staying in Cadiz with my family over a long term (months).

I try again :)
Exarchate for Orthodox Churches in Western Europe, (in Paris under the EP) (http:///www.exarchat.org/)
The bishop for this exarchate is archbishop Gabriel of Comana. He is bishop for churches in Spain, France, Italy, Great Britain and Scandinavia which you can see on the page.
