Father Kyprian of the Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY. was a close friend of my mothers. Because of the work my mother did for him as a seamstress, he gave her a piece of art. Because of a gift I gave him he also gave me a piece of art. My parents are getting on in years and I am trying to move them closer to my home in PA. I am afraid that something bad will happen to the art. I would also like to have this work shown to the public so that more people can enjoy the beauty and simplicity of these pieces. I'm not sure what to do or whom to contact. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Can you take photos of these art works? Or scan them? Then you could put then on the web for people to see. Thats the main way I get to look at art.
What sort of art are these pieces? Paintings, sculpture, icons? Knowing what they are would help in deciding how and where best to display them.

Sorry.
These are pieces of art. Fr.Kyprian enjoyed painting everyday scenes of monastic life. The piece I have was of a monk fishing in one of the ponds on the monastery grounds. I say "was" because the frame the good father had did not fit the picture so he cut out the fisherman to make it fit the frame. My mothers picture is a floral arraingement on a table with a small icon in front of the vase.

I will try.. to get pictures of the art work and post it. It may take a few days, since the art work is closer to Jordanville than to me. Its about a 6 hour drive, not really a day trip.
