Hi all,
I ask you all to pray for me as I will be travelling to Helsinki, Finland by train tonight to renew my Russian visa. I will also be going to Tallinn, Estonia and will, God willing, return to Moscow on Sunday evening.
In Christ,
Edward

Thank you everybody for your prayers. I got my visa and am back in Moscow. Now all I need is registration and all is set. Helsinki is not a big city but it is nice, although expensive. There are two cathedrals there, the Lutheran Cathdral and the Orthodox. Both Churches are State Churches, meaning they receive funds from the Finnish government. The Orthodox Cathdral was built in the 19th Century by Tsar Alexander. I went to Vigil there on Saturday night. The whole service was in Finnish so I only understood "Amen" and "Alleluia", but I was still able to follow along. On Sunday morning, I took the 8am hydrofoil to Tallinn, Estonia, which got me there at 9:30, so I was able to make 10am Liturgy at Saint Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Old Tallinn is a beautiful, medieval, Germanic looking city. It is worth a day trip. My train to Moscow departed at 5pm. I managed to see everything in a few hours. So, not to brag, but I think I could make it in the Orthodox book of World Records for having completed the cycle of services in three countries. Vigil and Morning Prayers in Finland, Liturgy in Estonia, and Small Compline (Evening Prayers) in Russia!
