Dear brothers & sisters in Christ,
As many of you may know there is presently ocurring in the small country of Haiti terrible civil strife that may soon spiral into full civil war. Already numbers of people have been slain and this already much-suffering country may have even greater to endure. Please pray for the people of Haiti and the Orthodox mission (composed of all Haitians with their own clergy)which is flourishing there.
Also- does anyone have personal contact with Fr Averky? We haven't heard from in awhile since his last post when he said he was quite sick. I emailed him on Sunday but so far I have received no reply. I hope he is alright. Our prayers are there for him.
