I'm interested in the book, The Bible and the Holy Fathers for Orthodox, has anyone seen this item or own it? What's it like? Where can I get one at a good price? Thank you.

Peace,

I have the book, it is a very nice one for daily reading since it has the readings according to the Paschal cycle for the whole year and then excerpts from the Fathers to comment on each of the readings. It is not a good book for serious study as the excerpts are simply those that were meaningful to the editor (Joanna Manly). Last I knew the book was pretty generally available and went for about $50 or $60 (usd)

'The Bible and the Holy Fathers' is a useful book for those with less time than they would like. Probably in North America most things are available, but, in any case, excellent sources of books are:

a) Orthodox Christian Books Ltd - see website at www.orthodoxbooks.co.uk
b) the bookshop of the Holy Monastery of St John the Baptist, Tolleshunt Knights, Essex, England

Apologies to those who already knew of these sources.
