hello,
It's Mina Mounir after converting officially to Eastern Orthodoxy.
I was asking about the point of theosis,
there are two types of understanding theosis in the bible :
1) we are partakers of the divine nature , through Uncreated energy ( metropolitan George Khedr of Lebanon, Gregorgy Palamas and others)
2) we are partakers of the divine nature through a created energy ( as the catholic famous theologian Thomas Aquinas mentioned)

3) we are partakers of the divine nature through obey and good will , and santification.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a different view point,
since the tools of deification is baptism and Eucharist , and since we believe that baptism gives you the Holy spirit itself , and since we believe that the body and blood of our lord in eucharist is united naturally ( Katha Physis - Hypostasin) with the divine nature-Essence ... we can say that we bear the essence , but in conjoining and bearing not more i.e. not like what happened in christ , because christ had a full unity and not just conjoining or bearing of the divinity. besides, we bear divine essence through bearing Christ himself .
I remember I read in the book ( Christ is one ) of pope Cyril of Alexandria that the meaning of conjoining and bearing which Nestour mentioned was suitable for us not for christ. I think this what I understand from this sentence of this great doctor.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there a strong resource on that point covers these ideas?
in Christ,
Mina Mounir

I believe St Maximos the Confessor talks about this in free choice and St Justin the Philosopher in his talk with Pyrrus. To say the created energy means God was created in some way. Uncreated seems more accurate as we believe God was always in existance and the Holy Fathers always talk about the uncreated light and energies of God.
