Is there ever a week where you don't hear about children that are killed or suffering somewhere in the world? :( This week with 3 different school shootings and other events I just don't want to turn on the radio at the moment.
I just wanted to ask, as I am a person who likes or seems to need to read fairly specific prayers for certain things, does anyone have any prayers or links that they could post (or send to me privately) about praying for suffering children in the world or children that have been killed and their families and communities?. I have a lot of prayers for children but they are are of a parent for their own children.
For the moment I'll use my own words.

ps Here is a link for parents who haven't come across this Akathist to the Mother of God Nurturer of Children (http://www.serfes.org/orthodox/NuturerofChildren.htm) there are a few prayers at end of page.
pps I have been searching the internet and found this prayer (http://207.32.104.169/oa/145/145s.htm) by Bishop Nikolai Velimirovich but this is more for living in a cruel unChristian environment.
