Those caring bridge websites are a very good idea. Friends, Family and strangers from all around the world can post messages of support for these little ones who are suffering and it cheers them up knowing so many people care and are praying for them.

At the Saint John the Wonderworker website (http://saintjohnwonderworker.org/parish_news.html) they said "A member of our church, Mary Evelyn (who turned three on Aug. 29th) has Stage 4 Cancer. "Would you please regularly pray this Akathist for the Healing of Mary Evelyn?" and gave this link for for the Akathist Akathist to the Mother of God Healer of Cancer (http://saintjohnwonderworker.org/AKATHIST%20TO%20THE%20MOTHER%20OF%20GOD--Healer%20of%20Cancer02.htm) The website says that Mary Evelyn went into remmission and at the moment is thanking God that she is well.

We can pray the Akathist for Brandon as was done for Mary Evelyn.

I found about this case at my workplace:

Brandon starting having consistent health problems sometime around March of this year. He was in and out of the hospital numerous times. The doctors couldn’t narrow it down as to what the problem was. In July he was finally diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, CML (Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia). From what I understand his leukemia is made up of three ‘parts’ (not sure what the real term is). Two of the three parts have known treatments. The treatment for the third part is unknown. The doctors have searched throughout the United States and the United Kingdom to find a similar situation to see how it should be treated. Last I heard there was no word as to someone else having been treated for this same situation. Time is running out, they’re going to have to go forward with some form of treatment with the hope that it works. Brandon is scheduled for a bone marrow transplant sometime around October 18, five days after his ninth birthday. If all goes well he’ll be spending 4 – 6 weeks in the hospital following the transplant.
Brandon was allowed to go to the first day of school so that he could see his friends. After that he wasn’t allowed to go to school during the day when the other kids were there because of the risk of catching something from them. He instead goes to school for now on Tuesday and Thursday nights when no other kids are there.
Brandon’s mom has set up the following Caring Bridge website if you would like to periodically check on Brandon’s progress: http://www.caringbridge.org/cb/inputSiteName.do?method=search&siteName=BrandonLegg
