I don't know where to post this, I'll make a try here, though. Do you happen to know where I can find the Greek text of the Psalms on-line?
I have just listened to a CD with the interpretation of the Psalms by the monks of the Simonopetra Monastery. It is really amazing...

Does it have all 151 Psalms? I would be really interested in getting a copy. Do you know where I can get one?

I don't know which site might have the text, but I'm sure if you google Septuagint you'll be able to find the original Greek.

Hi Iulian,

I found the Greek text of the Psalms here (http://www.apostoliki-diakonia.gr/bible/bible.asp?contents=old_testament/contents_Psalmoi.asp&main=OldTes). Hope this helps!

It's been a while since I've listened to this recording, but from memory, there are about 15-20 psalms on it. To chant all 151 of them would be a very long recording :)

Hi, Kris!

The CD is called "Hymns From The Psalter" by Monks of Simonopetra Monastery.

liturgica.com is a reliable provider of byzantine music.

The titles on this CD are the following:

1. Come Let Us Rejoice
2. O Lord, Our Lord
3. The Lord Is My Shepherd
4. O Sing To The Lord A New Song
5. Shout With Jubilation To The Lord
6. The Lord Has Made Known
7. Terirem: Mode IV Plagal
8. Their sound Hath Cone Forth Into All The Earth
9. I Will Confess Thee, O Lord
10. Blessed Is The Man
11. How Beloved Are Thy Dwellings
12. Praise The Lord From The Heavens
13. Terirem: Mode 1 Plagal

I hope you'll like it!

In Christ,

Iulian

You can find the entire canonical Greek text of the Bible online at:
http://www.myriobiblos.gr/bible/default.asp

Actually, all the Greek liturgical texts (Horologion, Menaion, Octoechos, etc.) can be found at:
http://www.tcgalaska.com/glt/

However, your computer must be able to read Greek fonts and you must be able to read Greek letter (at least recognize words) to navigate.

Thanks IOULIAN for initiating this thread, thanks ANTONIOS for the link to the psalms in Greek!!!
I have been listening a lot to the 1st chant on the CD and I couldn't understand everything (despite the fact that I know Greek) and I wanted to access the online version of the psalms (the other option was to get to use the book "Psaltirion"...

Best wishes,
Aleksandra
