I have often read that Orthodox theology refers to several salvic models when speaking on the nature of salvation, though it regards the theraputic/transformative model called theosis as the central one.

So what is the Orthodox take on/limitations concerning the forensic language of Scripture? How does it color or enlarge our understanding of salvation. Where/how does the forensic language of Scripture apply to the core model of theosis?

This is my own opinion, not backed up by sources, but mercy, or divine atonement for sins is not salvation. It is the precondition of salvation.
