Greetings in the Lord on Cheesefare Monday 2007,
I have a new subject of inquiry. I was told my daughter was born outside the Church, (we were under Metropolitan Pangratios at the time) and that she needed to have received The Rite of Rivnoplaskaya for a child born outside the Church. We were chrismated into the OCA when she was 38 days old and she was baptized that weekend. I have researched this rite on Google and found nothing. I have asked the in house scholar in my parish about this rite and he has never heard of it. If anyone knows where to find it I would also appreciate getting a copy of it for my own perusal.
With Love in Christ,

Never heard of such a thing. What does your spiritual father say about it?
In Christ,

Yes I know. The in house scholar in our parish already told me so but I did not believe him due to my sinful skepticism and doubt, my sin against the First Commandment. My faith in God has been shaken by skepticism and doubt as of late. Please pray for me a sinner.
This made up rite came from a sick person on Usenet who was impersonating vladyka. Usenet is not good for me, I had to leave yet again. People there are trying to get my ISP canceled. I apologize for the drama. I should have listened to my scholar. (hits hand to forehead).

dear Olympiada,
I will pray for you, i've noticed that you have been struggling with things,
By the way as far as the Relative Ages of Adams geneology on page 758 of the book 'Let Us Attend' it simply adds up the ages of Adam;s descendants,
These ages are found in Genesis 5.3-32. The genesis account gives 2 ages for each descendant:
1. The age of the person when he first begat his offspring.
2. And how many more years he lived after begetting his offspring.
The geneology stretches from Adam to Noah. Another words:
Adam was 130 years old when he begat Seth. And lived another 800 years after that. Adam thus died when he was 930 years old.
Seth was 105 years old when he beget Enos. And lived an additional 807 years old, so Seth died when he was 912 years old.
Enos was 90 old when he begot Cainan and lived another 815 years old after that, So Enos died when he was 905 years.
ETC ETC ETC....
Noah was the last to be born in an age where humans lived for hundreds of years because in Genesis 6.3 God puts the lifespan of man at about 120 years old.
After all the calculations it shows that Noah was born 124 years after Adam's death.
I know you asked about that, hope this helps
