I coudn't find a thread aobut it, so I'll ask in a new one.

What is going on between the MP and EP (for an outsider who keeps coming across references to a current 'conflict')?

Perhaps you mean the impending restoration of canonical communion between the Moscow Patriarchate and the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad? I've not heard of any MP-EP trouble, but I could be wrong...

Dear Anthony,

I suspect that you'll find some of the information you want here
http://www.monachos.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2660&highlight=Sourozh

The imbroglio seems confined to the UK in this instance, which is probably why Olga is in blissful ignorance of its existence; there are those in the UK who wish they could be. There are, needless to say, many views on this matter - almost as many as there are holding them.

In Christ,

John

Hi Anthony,

I've wondered about putting my pennyworth in, as I am (reluctantly and sadly) intimately involved in trying to sort out some of the mess John has hinted out. Just to say that there have been issues, much of which is now resolved. The fallout has been, unfortunately, a lot of very hurt people. The process of healing is now underway, thank God, but it will, I suspect, take a long time before all the issues are resolved.

Your prayers on the matter would be very welcome.

In XC
