Dear all,
We're happy to announce that the Monachos.net Discussion Community's member profile system has been enhanced, so that member profiles can now contain additional information, are more configurable, and display in a clearer, more pleasant format.
You can view all public member profiles - as ever - at the Member List (http://www.monachos.net/forum/memberlist.php), or by clicking a member's name on his/her post and selecting 'View member profile'.
Take a moment to update your own member profile for the benefit of other members of the Community, by visiting your User Control Panel (http://www.monachos.net/forum/usercp.php) and selecting 'Edit Profile' from the left-hand menu bar (or simply click here (http://www.monachos.net/forum/profile.php?do=editprofile) to be taken directly to the profile editor). Filling in your profile fully is one of the main ways others in the Community can get to know who you are 'at a glance' when encountering your posts.
Among the new features on the enhanced profile display:
New look: Member profiles now display in a different format, organising the information in the profile into helpful categories, and taking advantage of better page layout.
New fields: New standard fields in your profile include, as optional entries: a second segment for quotations, diocese information, and the much-asked-for Church web site field, which creates a link to your parish or diocesan web site.
Information on religious affiliation: The profile system now appends a short byte of information on the various options listed in the 'Religious Affiliation' field, including links to the official web sites of various patriarchates, jurisdictions, etc.
Information on most recent post: Member profiles now display the title of (and a link to) the member's most recent post in the Community.Additional features are being added, and the new interface being 'tweaked', over the coming days. If there is an aspect to the Member Profiles you would like to see added, please do let me know.
INXC, Matthew
