Whats the view of the Orthodox Church to the Book of Enoch? As far as I know the Ethiopian Church have that book as a canonical one.

Whats the view of the Orthodox Church to the Book of Enoch? As far as I know the Ethiopian Church have that book as a canonical one.

The Book of Enoch is quoted by the holy Apostle Jude in his Catholic Epistle, and for this reason the book is regarded as containing some truth. This is why the Ethiopian Church includes it in her canon (although 'canon' in the Ethiopian context is less rigid than elsewhere).

However, it should be read with great discernment and is not a source of doctrine.
