I've always been interested in this aspect of our history (I've also been interested in St. Augustine). I don't know if there has been a thread made for this (I saw that I missed out on over a 1000 posts made, some of which I might be a little unhappy about and tempted to reply to ;)), but I just want to say thank you for this section in your website. I'll definitely take advantage of this one.
I understand in Roman Catholic history (according to a seminarian friend), the Cappadocians, and in essence Eastern Christianity as a whole, were sometimes convicted of "semi-Pelagianism," probably either because of misunderstanding or of a possible different perspective on Soteriology. This is an area I feel Orthodox need more research and understanding in.
Thank you and God bless.
