There seems to be something wrong with the Albums section on profile. I can't add any pictures.

Still seems to be a problem

Hmm. I was able to upload another picture to my album, although it took a couple of tries (got an "Internet Explorer cannot display this page" error the first time - something like that, anyway).
Where does your upload attempt "break"?

I open an album and it says at the bottom in the blue bar 'add pictures to a group'. I click that and it takes me to a 'Discussion Community Message' panel and tells me I'm not a member of any group! When I open an album, there's no 'upload images' either at top or bottom.

Are you already at 20 pictures? When I click "Upload Pictures", the upload page tells me how many pictures I can still upload, and that number plus what I've already got makes a total of 20 (that's the total for all albums, not per album).

Ahh! That may be the answer.

Dear Andreas and others,
I am sorry to be slow in replying on this: I try to be away from the computer during the first days of the Fast.
The limit on numbers of uploaded pictures in the albums is something we're testing, as a means of encouraging people to consider supporting the forum by becoming Community Supporters - i.e. members who volunteer to contribute a small sum to assist with the financial costs (which are fairly steep) of upkeep of the Monachos.net web site and forum. It should be the case (I'd be grateful to know if it isn't) that once you reach 20 uploaded images, the system says you're at your limit, but provides a link saying 'Would you like more space?' and connects you to the Becoming a Discussion Community Supporter (http://www.monachos.net/library/Becoming_a_Discussion_Community_Supporter) page. 'Supporter' accounts are able to upload up to 700 images (!).
Feedback warmly received on this means of giving a gentle nudge towards supporting the forum. The simple maintenance, servers and licensing required to keep a site as large and with as much daily traffic as Monachos.net costs in excess of £550 ($1,000) per year, apart from any other expenses - so, as a supermarket chain in the UK has for it's catch line, 'every little helps'. I've always been quite adament that none of the content features should be limited to 'paying customers', so all texts are available to all, including all posts in the forum. But as the galleries are a 'fun extra', it seemed like they might be an opportunity to urge support. But as ever, feedback on this concept warmly and gratefully received.

Is the Paypal still the only option? Will it be possible please to pay with credit card also?

At this point, all transactions are done through PayPal (though you can pay via credit card through PayPal, even if you don't have a PayPal account). Setting up our own card processing system would cost far more than we would expect to receive!

Oh I see! Thank you.

Doesn't look like that's the case. Once the limit is reached, the "Upload Pictures" link no longer appears on the album page. There is no notice in its place saying you've reached the limit, and I couldn't find any such notice anywhere else in the albums pages when I ran a test.
As long as you're below the limit, you can get to the "Upload Pictures" page which notes the number of pictures remaining with the additional notice:
(Would you like to be able to upload more pictures? Upload up to 400 by becoming a Discussion Community Supporter (http://www.monachos.net/library/Becoming_a_Discussion_Community_Supporter)! Being a Supporter brings many other features as well (http://www.monachos.net/library/Becoming_a_Discussion_Community_Supporter)...)
As for using this as a nudge towards support, sounds more than reasonable to me. I didn't realize the site cost so much to operate; my most expensive site costs barely one-sixth as much. Of course, none of mine have nearly as much content or as many features as Monachos, which undoubtedly explains much of the difference.

Fr. Dcn,
Can you take a look at the Paypal link? It says "this recipient is unable to receive money".
