Dear friends,
I was searching on the internet and found some interesting materials:
-----------------------------
http://www.synodinresistance.org/Theology_en/Dogmatics.html
Text I: Protopresbyter Georges Florovsky “Cur Deus Homo? The Motive of the Incarnation”» (http://www.synodinresistance.org/Theology_en/E3c8002aGiatiEns1.pdf) (1957) (English pdf, 175 KB; Greek pdf (http://www.synodinresistance.org/Theology_el/3c8002aGiatiEns1.pdf), pdf, 161 KB)
- Text II: Panagiotes Nellas
“The Archetype of Humanity is the Incarnate Word” (http://www.synodinresistance.org/Theology_en/E3c8002bGiatiEns2.pdf) (1979) (English pdf, 203 KB; Greek pdf (http://www.synodinresistance.org/Theology_el/3c8002bGiatiEns2.pdf), pdf, 130 KB)
- Text III: Panagiotes Nellas
“Redemption or Deification? Anselm’s Question, ‘Why Did God Become Man?’ and Nicolas Cabasilas” (http://www.synodinresistance.org/Theology_en/E3c8002cGiatiEns3.pdf) (1983) (English pdf, 328 KB; Greek pdf (http://www.synodinresistance.org/Theology_el/3c8002cGiatiEns3.pdf), 202 KB)
- Text IV: Metropolitan Hierotheos of Naupaktos and Hagios Blasios
“The Unconditionality of the Divine Incarnation” (http://www.synodinresistance.org/Theology_en/E3c8002dGiatiEns4.pdf) (1992) (English pdf, 177 KB; Greek pdf (http://www.synodinresistance.org/Theology_el/3c8002dGiatiEns4.pdf), 117 KB)
--------------------
these article produce good arguments about the motive or reason of incarnation , and it is not just a philosophical point ... I think it has a good influence on our spirituality that sin is not the cause of incarnation. it even interprets (as seen in prof. Nellas first paper) the verses of the scripture that mistakenly used by Arius.
how did the fathers of the church see that ?
thanks
