In our Orthodox Study Bible, Luke 10:2 reads (emphasis added):

Then He said to slop, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

Does anyone (especially among those here who worked on the OSB) know what this was supposed to say? "Then He said to them" would make sense, but I'm not sure how you get from "them" to "slop", and nothing closer in lettering that I can think of makes any sense.

In Christ,
Michael

It's "them." The New Testament of the OSB is just the New King James Version. "Slop" is not in the first New Testament edition of the OSB. I have no idea how it got in the latest version.

I was sent an "Errata" with my copy that has the correction notated as well as several others. I have also found a couple more in the OT that I have made Thomas Nelson aware of for the next edition.

Proof-texting, or proof-reading, Paul? (I am a grumpy old woman, after all!)

Yeah, yeah, whatever. I like finding mistakes. Just not my own!

I was under the impression that the OSB New Testament text is identical to that of the NKJV. If that's the case, it should be "them," though like you I can't imagine how it became "slop".

My new Orthodox Study Bible with both the OT and NT texts, reads "them".

I believe that the copy I have is the latest version.

Does anyone know if they plan on coming out with an OSB edition with sewn binding?

I have the one with both the OT and NT texts too. We pre-ordered ours, so it was from the first printing. I guess they must have fixed it in later printings.
