Does anyone know of any website where I may find a printable liturgical calendar, in accordance with the customs of the OCA, which notes all fasts, major feast days, and fast free seasons? It'd also be nice if it gave information about the extent to which we must abstain to food on these days.

Thank you in advance,
Mikhal R.

They don't seem to have the 2009 calendar up, but the OCA publishes a desk calendar each year available under publications. Also, St. Tikhon's Press publishes a very nice liturgical calendar, but it is not available online. Your local parish might have this information as well. I'd ask your parish priest.

The OCA desk calendar in the past has noted fasting days and major feasts, but not the prescribed "level" of fasting (strict, wine & oil, etc.). If they follow the same pattern as for previous years, the 2009 calendar should be at this URL (http://www.oca.org/PDF/DOC-PUB/DC/2009deskcalendar.pdf) when it's available (right now it just brings up a badly formatted site index). I didn't find any other printable online liturgical calendars, either.

At my house, we use the St. Tikhon's Wall Calendar (http://www.stspress.com/detail.aspx?ID=1962) that Christopher mentioned - it lists fast days, with any relaxations (wine & oil, etc.), strict fast days, and fast-free periods noted; shows the primary commemorations for each day, with major feasts in red; and lists daily Scripture readings plus some of the additional readings for feasts. It's also not very expensive.

While not produced by the OCA, the most comprehensive (in many senses) calendar in print would have to be the St Herman's, published by the Brotherhood of St Herman of Alaska, Platina, CA. If you want a copy, move fast.

Just note that the GOA calendar very often has different fasting rules than what the OCA calendar would have. There are differences in the Greek and Russian practice as to what days are fish days or not.

Thank you! The St. Tikhon one looks good!
