I am a member of the Russian Orthodox Church, MP. My parish is in the US and is uses the New Calendar.

I realize that sometimes throughout the year our Scripture readings differ from other New Calendar parishes (canonical parishes). Specifically I remember this to be true of our local Greek Parish.

I am looking for a place online that has the rubrics that would match the hymns (kontakions, theotokions, etc) and Scritpures read during the weekly Liturgy (on Sundays). Specifically I am looking for this so I can link it to our Church website in case someone wishes to print it off.

Does anyone know if our Scriptural Calendar matches any other NC Jurisdiction's?

Thanks,

Joshua

I can think of one reason why there may be local variations in the appointed scripture readings: if there are differences in which saint or feast is commemorated liturgically on any particular day.

Two examples come to mind: July 11, the feastday of Greatmartyr Euphemia, and of St Olga of Kiev. In the Greek church, the former saint would take precedence, in the Slavic churches, the latter. The other is St George the Greatmartyr. As his feastday often falls during Holy Week, the Greek church transfers his commemoration to Tuesay of Bright Week.

If your parish is on the NC then your calendar of Scripture readings should be the same as the OCA's. These are found online at the OCA site.

I'm not sure- but if your readings differ from that of the OCA then it could be that someone doesn't understand that even though we're all on the same Paschal cycle that the weekday readings would need to be adjusted for the Lucan jump on the NC.

Since it is not likely that the MP has made this adjustment available on an online source it is easier for your parish to just go to the OCA website for the daily readings.
