Once I came accross the quote from St. John Klimakos: “Angels are a light for monks and the monastic life is a light for all men”. Inspired by this quote I came to write my MA thesis on Angels as pattern and image of the monastic spirituality. Maybe some of you would be able to guide me to some good sources regarding the angelic/monastic spirituality?
Thank you for your support and advice. Any ideas are welcome.

There is a book called Ascent to Heaven by John Chryssavgis. Its theme is 'The Theology of the Human Person according to St John of the Ladder'. It is published by Holy Cross Press in Brookline.

You might start here:

The meme of the angelic life is rife throughout Orthodox monastic literature.

Thank you very much for your links. Unfortunately I cannot find anything by John Chryssavgis except some bits and pieces here on monachos.net. I downloaded the paper John Klimakos: On Repentance That Leads to Joy (http://www.monachos.net/forum/../content/patristics/studies-fathers/65-john-klimakos-on-repentance-that-leads-to-joy) from the same place, which is helful, however I do not know who the author of this paper is and I do not know how to quote this paper in an academic work.
Also it would be helpful to know who is the author of 'Angelic path': http://www.roca.org/OA/66-68/66k.htm and who's website it is.

I can't tell you right off who the author is, however the website is the online archive of the magazine "Orthodox America". The publishers of OA have retired and the magazine is no longer published so I don't know how you would go about finding out from that source. My guess would be that this article is republished as an extract from a book that is probably out of print at the present. If I am able to find anything further I can let you know in the future.

Dear Father David Moser, thank you very much for your concern and help. If you would come accross the author of this article I would be very interested to know. Thank you.
For those who are interested in St. John Climacus' teaching, I found an article by Deacon John Chryssavgis 'The Theology of Tears in Saint John Climacus', ina journal called Sourozh No.22 November 1985.
