Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

St. George is my patron, and I'm looking for his Akathist hymn. However, I can't find it anywhere online. Does anyone here know where to locate it? I would think it would already be on the Internet somewhere.

Pax Christi,
Geoffrey

Geoffrey,
I don't know of it being online, but you can find it in The Book of Akathists: to Our Savior, the Mother of God, and Various Saints, Volume 1 published by Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY. The book is readily available from most Orthodox Bookstores - http://www.skete.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=266

Not necessarily. A lot of liturgical and patristic texts have been translated so recently into English that they're still under copyright and can't be freely posted online. Many others (such as book 5 of the Philokalia) still haven't been translated into English.

Sorry Geoffrey. I checked my list, I do not yet have St. George. Subdcn Anthony's suggestion is the best. I will be purchasing both volumes shortly myself.
