I posted this today, and I would like to thank the people who prayed as I was writing. (Owen Barfield suggested that I look at the doctrine of progress as a root cause, and I believe it is a deep level problem, but my line of argument did not offer natural openings to discuss this aspect of the problem. I am still quite grateful for the suggestion.)
This is a critique about problems connected with (academic) theology's (attempted) reception of science and its characteristics. It's a bit bellicose--fighting words, perhaps--but there has been something amiss with what I have seen in some rough experiences in the academy.
