Canon of the month?

Dear All

My friend was looking for a good source of akathists online so I sent her the link to St Jonah's site at http://www.saintjonah.org/services/akathists.htm but she also wanted to find the Canon of the Month online and I'm not sure what that is. She is Coptic - is it something specifically Coptic? I would be very grateful for any help.

Unless that is the Coptic term for rubrics, I have no idea. Canon means "guide" so I would assume in lieu of further information that it is the designated readings and hymnody for each day of the month.
