The interrogative form of tiV modifies a noun (serving as an adjective) and means "What" or "Which". When the word does not modify a noun it serves as a pronoun and means "Who" or "What".

Interrogative Adjective/Pronoun:

tiV also appears as an indefinite adjective/pronoun meaning "Someone/Some people" and "Something/Some things". The indefinite form also serves as Greek's closest equivalent to the English "a/an".
