 Many members have asked for an easy way to support financially the Monachos.net Discussion Community—the largest internet forum on Orthodoxy through patristic and monastic study. In response, we've initiated a voluntary subscription service, allowing registered members of the Community to 'upgrade' their membership to one of two Community Supporter levels. These levels offer some increased user tools and interface features to the forum (e.g. an increased Private Message quota, additional image uploading rights, etc.), as well as eliminate advertisements from your experience of the Discussion Community. Yet in the end they are meant primarily as a means for members to contribute to the costs of operating and running the forum.

How do I become a Community Supporter?
Any registered member of the Discussion Community can choose to upgrade his or her account to paid / contributing status.
- As a first step, ensure that you are an actively registered member of the forum (of you're not yet registered, you can register easily on-line with e-mail verification).
- Then, log into the Discussion Community as usual. Once logged in, visit your User Control Panel, then click the Paid Subscriptions section.

From that stage, the process is self-explanatory, offering you the ability to select your subscription level, and linking you directly to PayPal for payment processing.
What else should I know?
Paid Contributing Supporter subscriptions are for one calendar year, at which point they will be renewed, on your agreement, via PayPal. They can of course be cancelled at any time.
Once you've become a Contributing Supporter, you'll notice that the relevant features are automatically added to your account.
New features will also be added for Contributing Supporters in future.
